Privacy & Cookie Policy

This page is machine-adapted from the en-GB authoritative version and pending review. The en-GB version is the authoritative legal source.

This notice explains how TaskNugget collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our marketplace platform, and how we use cookies and similar technologies.

Who we are

TaskNugget operates the TaskNugget platform. For privacy questions contact support@tasknugget.com.

Data we collect

  • Account and profile data you provide (name, email, role preferences, portfolio/hat details).
  • Task listings, quotes, messages, locations you enter, and related marketplace activity.
  • Technical data needed to run the service (authentication session, CSRF protection, locale preference, security logs).
  • Aggregated product analytics (page views and performance) via cookieless Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.

AI assistants

When you use task creation or hat/portfolio AI chat, or when we scan messages for identity/contact leakage, conversation text and any images or audio you attach may be sent to our AI service provider via our servers. Exact street addresses are designed to stay out of AI chat where possible, but free-text and media can still contain personal information you choose to include. Uploaded files are retained for a short period (typically up to 48 hours) for processing. Our provider acts as our processor for this purpose. We do not load a third-party AI SDK in your browser.

Service providers

We use trusted third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the platform:

  • Cloud hosting & database — for authentication, database storage, and realtime services (including social sign-in integrations if you choose those options).
  • Payment processing — for handling secure payments, subscriptions, and billing.
  • Application hosting — for securely hosting the platform, anonymised performance analytics, and reliability monitoring.
  • Error monitoring — for securely logging application crashes so we can fix bugs (visual session replay is not enabled).
  • Security & anti-bot — for protecting authentication and abuse-sensitive flows.
  • Mapping services — for interactive maps and address lookup (only after you choose to load them).
  • Search enrichment — server-side web search used by AI assistants when needed.
  • Email delivery — for authentication and transactional messages.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to provide the service you request, plus a small number of functional preferences.

Strictly necessary

Authentication session (tasknugget-auth), CSRF protection, and security checks. These are required for login and safe API use.

Functional

Locale preference (NEXT_LOCALE), active role preference, theme preference (local storage), and similar UI preferences so the product works as you expect.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are cookieless and used only for aggregated statistics about how the product performs. They are described here for transparency.

Google Maps (click to load)

Interactive maps are not loaded until you click to enable them. Enabling maps loads Google’s Maps JavaScript, which may set cookies on Google domains and send your IP address to Google. Your choice is remembered in local storage (tasknugget_maps_consented) so you are not asked again on this device. You can clear site data in your browser to reset that preference.

Stripe

When you pay or manage billing, Stripe’s checkout or portal may set cookies required for payment security and fraud prevention.

Retention

We keep account and marketplace records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, dispute, and accounting obligations. AI file-processing caches are short-lived. Analytics aggregates are retained according to our hosting provider’s defaults unless we configure shorter periods.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact support@tasknugget.com to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Account deletion

To delete your TaskNugget account, email support@tasknugget.com from the email address associated with your account. On request, we delete your account and associated personal data, including data linked to Facebook Login if you signed in that way.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
